Contrary to the usual negative meaning of the word Unruly ;
someone who is problematic because they are unable to follow discipline or rules,
my meaning is positive: "Liberate yourself from the boundaries of the rules that are preventing you from reaching your full potential, finding your purpose and achieving your dreams".
To put this in context, in my personal experience, it always seemed like a plan was drawn for us before we were even conscious of our own existence; by society, parents, family, gender, ethnicity, culture, etc. The rules we are forced to follow sometimes keep us in a box, the hardest type to escape from: a mental box. You feel like you should do certain things,
That's why Unruly turned out to be the perfect word to portray my message because of the "rebellious" side of the word, it embodies my message perfectly: DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. You were born as a unique person, you will die as a unique person. Therefore, the only expectations you should strive to satisfy are yours, not your parents', not your friends', not your siblings', not anybody else's but yours.
That being said, here are some things you should keep in mind:
One: Failure is more probable than success. The majority of people who try fail. It is 100% possible that you end up on the streets, unable to pay your bills because you wanted to be an artist instead of an accountant.
Two: When you will be living your last seconds on this Earth, reflecting on the meaning of your life in this world, would your spirit be more at peace with the fact that you decided to play it safe instead of risking failure to reach your full potential or would it be more at peace with the fact that you succeeded or died trying?
Three: You will not live forever.
Four: Regardless of how you feel or what you're going through, time will never stop.
